Here is a list (partial though it may be!) of some of the most trusted dog training and animal behavior resources we could think of. We’ll add to it when appropriate:

Certified Applied Animal Behaviorists
CAABs are Ph.D. or DVMs who have received graduate level education in animal behavior, psychology, zoology and learning theory at accredited universities. They publish data - based papers in peer-reviewed journals, did original research on aspects of animal behavior and have had a minimum of five years of experience in the field. Some CAABs are veterinarians who have completed a residency in animal behavior and are Board Certified in Veterinary Behavior.

Association of Pet Dog Trainers
The Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT) is a professional organization of individual dog trainers who are committed to becoming better trainers through education.

Animal Behavior Society
The Animal Behavior Society is a non-profit scientific society, founded
to encourage and promote the study of animal behavior. ABS members
are from all over the world, but primarily from North, Central, and South
America. Membership is open to those interested in the study of
animal behavior.

Veterinary Behaviorists
The American College of Veterinary Behaviorists is a professional organization of veterinarians who are board-certified in the specialty of Veterinary Behavior.

Dog's Best Friend Training
Dog's Best Friend Training, founded in 1988 by Patricia McConnell, Ph.D., is dedicated to enriching the lives of dogs and their owners through dog training using positive reinforcement-based techniques. Their dog training classes help owners understand and humanely influence their dogs' behavior. They conduct small group obedience dog training classes, dog
