The Biology of Emotion in Two Species

Patricia McConnell's day long seminar, video-taped at the Marin County Human Society, explores the biology of emotion in people and dogs, combining slides, video and hands-on work with demonstration dogs. You'll learn what emotions really are, and how much of primal emotions like happiness, fear and anger are shared by you and your dog. This presentation looks at both the differences and similarities of emotions in dogs and people, and includes solutions to dog behavior problems motivated by fear and anger. The day ends with an in-depth examination of why we love dogs as much as we do, and celebrates the bond between us and our four-footed friends.
